Cleaning With Baking Soda II

In my previous post I discussed the cleaning benefits of baking soda. Since they are many, from being natural, safe and eco friendly, baking soda is also cheap. All you need is just knowing how to use it and where you can use it.

Sometimes we don’t clean with vinegar, lemon, baking soda and even alcohol because we simply don’t know what parts of our house can be cleaned using these cleaning solutions and how exactly. Here I will try to shed some more light. Firstly, if you have a pet and carpet flooring in your house, you probably know by now that carpets absorb the odours of your pets and that is why they linger even though you have opened the windows. In order to reduce the odour sprinkle baking soda on the carpet. Leave to set for 15 minutes to half an hour and vacuum clean. Now that I mentioned carpets, did you know that you can use baking soda for spot cleaning carpets as well. Just mix some baking soda with water and you are ready to go. If you have a smoker in the house, you probably know how bad it smells even when the cigarette is put out in the ashtray. There is a stink that lingers and you can reduce it by sprinkling with baking soda the bottom of the ashtray.

There are so many more smart uses of baking soda, that I will probably have to write about them every single day till the end of time, or this blog (same thing!).
