Now that summer is here, we will see sun beams coming through our windows much more often. This means that you cannot afford having dirty windows and dusty carpets that show dirty easily. Do you know that sun will make all this a lot more visible? This means, it is a high time to deep clean your house and your carpets. Carpet cleaning is a tricky deal, but there are a few ways of cleaning you could choose from.
One of the easiest methods is if you have a carpet cleaning vacuum cleaner. This cleaner is the same as any other, the only difference is that it uses water to literally wash the carpet as you move it over its surface. Obviously these vacuum-cleaners are more expensive than regular ones, take a bit more space and are more time consuming, but definitely worth it all. The benefit is that you can easily use them as often as you wish. The other methods are even more time consuming and either costly, or hard work.
Many households have big yards and whenever the carpets need to be washed they can be taken outside and washed with a sponge and a hose. This is a very effective and cheap way to clean carpets, but it is hard work and you shouldn’t do it if you are not prepared to get your hands dirty! Unfortunately as you may have heard, hosepipes are a huge no-no this season. Because of the drought you are not advised to use a hosepipe any longer. You could use a bucket, but if you don’t feel you can manage the work and you want to avoid a fine, you could call. This way you don’t have to worry about getting your hands getting dirty or risk being charged.
Surely there are more ideas, and in later posts we will discuss how to make your own cleaning solutions and some useful techniques for different stains. For now, these were just some ideas for beginners – what you should do, and what you need to avoid.
